DIFFERENCE BETWEEN HACCP, ISO 22000, FSSC 22000 V4.1, BRC
All clients have this basic doubt and NOW this is resolved !
HACCP is an obsolete standard which was initially published to have a Critical control points in food manufacturing industry.
This standard has been superseded by ISO 22000 in 2005. In almost 10 years lot of changes have happened and a lot of PAS standards were published by the British Standards to compliment ISO 22000.
These PAS standards have become popular due to their large acceptance in the food manufacturing and food packaging industry.
While all the principles in HACCP have been integrated in the ISO 22000 Food safety management system, it was found by BRC that there are missing elements which have to be addressed separately.
Based on this Logic British Retail consortium popularly called as BRC introduced standards for companies supplying to British Retailers.
