IFS INTERNATIONAL FEATURED STANDARD

IFS HPC (Household and Personal care products)

The IFS HPC is a standard for auditing safe and quality products/processes of suppliers concerning the manufacturing of household and personal care HPC products.

IFS HPC is and International standard to verify household and personal care products and their processes, and to ensure that products do not carry any hazards for consumers.

GQS Singapore is geared up to conduct audits on Version 2.0

Steps for IFS HPC certification covers four specific group of products:

  • Cosmetics (e.g. make up, lotions, shampoo, creams, hair gels, hair oil)
  • Household chemical products (e.g. detergents, softeners, cleaning agents, aroma sticks, agarbathis,.)
  • Daily use household products (e.g. rubber gloves, butter paper, brooms, aluminum foil, etc.)
  • Personal hygiene products (e.g. sanitary napkins, tampons, tweezers, bath sponges, diapers, etc.)

 

IFS Food 6.1

The IFS Food Standard revised to 6.1 is a GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative) approved standard for auditing food manufacturers. The objective is on safety and the quality of processes and products related to food. It concerns food processing factories and organisations that pack loose food products.

IFS Food applies when products are “processed” or when there is a hazard for product contamination during primary packing. The Standard is critical for all food industries, including for those producing private labels, as it contains many requirements related to the compliance with customer specifications and regulatory requirements.

The Standard enhances the production and marketing departments in their efforts for brand safety and quality.

Steps for IFS Food 6.1 Certification

  • Senior management responsibility to be demonstrated
  • Quality and food safety management system to be implemented
  • Resource management to be demonstrated
  • Planning and production process to be demonstrated
  • Measurements, analysis, improvements to be implemented
  • Food Defense to be demonstrated and implemented.

For the above steps, primarly Standard operating procedures SOPs, Training on SOPs, Implementation support are conducted by experts from GQS Singapore.

 

IFS Global Markets Food

Steps for IFS GLOBAL MARKET FOOD

The standard includes implementation of IFS checklists and assessment procedures to verify compliance to  improvement process and the implementation of a full food safety management system.

The final objective may be to reach the IFS Food certification over a defined period of time.

The Program consists out of two different Level checklists, which requirements should be fulfilled within a committed timeline.

      • Specifications including Product Release, Traceability, Food Safety Incident Management, Control of Non-Conforming Product, Corrective Action
    • Good Manufacturing Practices

IFS Logistics 2.2

IFS Logistics helps in certification of Supply chain including transportation and storage of food and non food items. This IFS Logistics 2.2  is developed for storage, distribution, and transportation, as well as loading and unloading processes for both food and food packaging products.

Steps for IFS Logistics 2.2 Certification

IFS Logistics audits are carried out by experienced auditors of accredited certification bodies. The requirements of the IFS Logistics are divided into six chapters:

  • Senior management responsibility
  • Quality and product safety management system
  • Resource management
  • Realization of the service
  • Measurements, analysis, improvements
  • Product defense and inspections

IFS PACsecure 1.1

The IFS PACsecure Standard was created to assess the quality and safety of packaging materials and the conformance with customer requirements. This standard also helps as a tool to support businesses to meet new requirements on quality, transparency and efficiency, resulting from globalisation, and to improve product integrity along the entire supply chain.

IFS Broker

Brokers, agents  actively involved with producers and retailers. IFS Broker was published to ensure the food safety and quality of products filling the gap between production and distribution.

The standard checks the interested parties to ensure that they have implemented appropriate measures in their service so that their suppliers operate in accordance with product safety and quality requirements. Brokers, agents, and importers must also monitor their supplier’s compliance with these issues so that supplied products meet regulatory and contractual requirements.
